What happened at Sebastian’s club the night Finlay disappeared? Why did no one notice anything? When she meets the owner, he is too handsome for her comfort. He’s trouble, and not for the case. Is he as innocent as he claims?

Trouble follows the senator’s son wherever he goes. Sebastian cringes whenever he walks in the door. He can see him getting into trouble with the wrong people. But Finlay? He’s the good son. Why his club? Now the police think Sebastian knows more than he does. Then she walks in the door.

His daughter is missing, and he doesn’t know where to turn. Roni would know what to do, but she is still haunted by her last case.

Panic punches her in the chest when Sebastian shows up at her door looking disheveled and desperate. Then he tells her, Cammy is missing. The eight-year-old just disappeared at Bryant Park as if into thin air. Roni is falling for Sebastian and his daughter, but she didn’t know if she could be responsible for finding Cammy. What if she failed? Again.

When she sees the dilapidated house, she knows she’s been played. She cautiously pushes the door open to reveal a laptop playing a video of a bruised and battered young woman struggling against her bindings. If Roni follows the clues she can save the girl’s life. What kind of sick game is this?

Roni has finally agreed to move in with him and Cammy. Before she has time to unpack, she gets a call. Someone is using a young girl as bait to lure Roni to them. Will this be the time she didn’t come back?
